HELP! My band from my braces just fell out and there's no way I can see my regular ortho dentist for weeks?

I go to an orthodontist at school another state away and I can't go see them until I go back to school, which is about three weeks away. Leaving now would be too expensive (i.e. $400 plane ticket). I'm home in Philadelphia for summer vacation. Is there anyway I can go see another dentist just for emergency care? If not, is there any alternatives?

do u mean a rubber band on one brace? if its that u shouldnt worry, unless its on an edge then u should do the same thing that with the other band thing i mention**.





if u meean the band in the last molar (the metalic one) try put it back in positionin the molar and bite a bit if it fits good but if it doesnt**:





** : theres this kindda forceps that peapole use on pedicures so they cut thick nails buy one of those and cut the wire the closest to the brace (without getting to the rubber band) and u could live with that 4 ur vacations (clean it with alcohol even if new)
Reply:go to walmart and in the hair section, they have tiny little rubber bands to do braids with, they are about the same bands the ortho use, have your mom put in on.
Reply:Yes, look up a local phone book, or find a random person with braces and ask them where they go! They can help you! Even only one vist! It is better then going without getting them fixed and havin to pay more money and havin them in longer!
