Toothache anyone know if dentists are open on a sunday or if there is an emergency dentist open on sunday?
if you phone your local dentist its probably shut but a message should be on telling you of a dentist on call.
Reply:ring nhs direct and they can tell you wher to go in your area. chemists usually know too.
Reply:I don't know of any.Next ,best thing is wait for your local pharmacy to open.Pharamists ,can offer advice on over counter or home remedy that can help you.Until, you can make an appointment of Monday.

I'd also call your dentist and leave a message on the answering machine.Time and date, say you'll be there and hope he can put you in ,fast.

Don't make the mistake I did, don't over take anything with asprin.Went I had my tooth pulled that monday,it took 4hours for one tooth to stop bleeding.I thinned my blood out,I was in so much pain.I,overtook Goody powders! That can be dangerous! Let your dentist know what you took over the weekend,o.k.!

I hope you feel better soon,I can work with a belly ache. But,a tooth ache Whew,I'm out the door!

Take care!
Reply:I once had an abcess on Christmas Day that got so bad I went to the Emergency Room of a teaching hospital. I was in such pain as I have never known %26amp; it showed!

They gave me a shot in the area of the tooth that deadened it. Also prescribed pain meds to get me through a few days until a dentist was able to see me. I feel for you %26amp; best of luck!
Reply:well it would probably help to know what city you are in, but failing that, a quick google search for "emergency dentist" or "emergency dental" will bring up a range of clinics available.

Or you can also check them out in the yellow pages.

All cities should have a 7 day dentist somewhere. Just remember that they will tend to charge more than elsewhere.

If you want to wait till Monday you could try taking some paracetamol or an anti inflammatory such as ibuprofen which may help with any pain and inflammation. However i would consult with your local pharmacy to ensure these are appropriate for you.
Reply:I am afraid availability varies from area to area. If you are registered with a dentist he is obliged to arrange some form of emergency cover, though this may not be free. If you ring his number you should be redirected. You could also ring NHS Direct/24 for advice.
