Easier to become a Doctor or Dentist?

I have a passion for both of these careers and do not know which one to choose! Is it easier to become a dentists or doctor (school-wise)? A doctor as in an emergency physician.

Easier to become a Doctor or Dentist?
I wouldn't call one "easier" than the other. I'm not sure cause I'm neither a dentist nor a doctor, but both careers require University and then some sort of special schooling after that.

They each require different courses and whatnot, so it really depends what you're more interested in doing as they're fairly different jobs.
Reply:none of the above. they both require a lot of smarts and many years of school.
Reply:They are both doctors and both require the same level of education.

However, with dentistry, there are only two options: Doctor of Medical Dentistry or Doctor of Dental Surgery.

Personally, if I was looking for "easy", I probably would not choose a medical career, as there is nothing "easy" about either one. Anyone in any medical study faces stiff competition from their fellow students all trying for the same seats in the same chairs.

The ones that aren't truly committed, don't succeed (or at least, we are led to believe so).

If you are looking for easy, try another field and leave medicine for those who are dedicated to the field.
Reply:I would say being a dental student is way tougher, comparing myself to other friends doing medicine. Well, it's probably just the matter of the school's system (different dental/medical schools have different systems).

I always had to learn more details as compared to my med friends, and there are more classes coz we obviously are doing more subjects than them, and we are a lotttttt busier.

All in all, it IS challenging mentall and physically, but i am ot complaining as i'm falling in love more and more with it everyday =). It's totally worth it
