Dental emergency?

My sister's 4 year old child is having problems with a tooth (the cap is loose). The tooth has been bleeding pretty badly for the past 3 days. She called her dentist and they said that it was not a big deal, and they couldnt do anything until the cap fell off. Her child has been vomitting badly for the past 2 days and now she says the area around the tooth is black (her child has been puking all day and now she is gastly white). She thinks she needs to take her to the er, but the childs dentist acted like it wasnt a big deal (you tend to believe what a doctor says). What could it be and do you think she should take her to the er immediately?

Dental emergency?
more than likely it is her gums that are bleeding....the er will do nothing...call the dentist again and tell them you really think she should be seen....i have seen this before alot in my practice
Reply:Go to the ER now!!!
Reply:Yeah go to hospital, and skip the waiting room.
Reply:Yes, take her to the ER. My 11 year old daughters' dentist, refused to put a cap on a chipped tooth, they said it would kill the tooth, because she is so young. The dentist also told me that if the tooth is turning black it may be dying.
Reply:Yes, she should go before the child gets dehydrated. I would call the dentist office again and complain too. Speak with a higher up...
