Sinus headache and toothache..Doctor or Dentist?

I had a (24 hour) stomach sickness last week that somehow turned into allergies/cold. I don't know which. I thought I was getting better...Started draining with the over the counter meds and now I have a horrid headache behind my right eye, a sore throat ..sometimes earache and a PAINFUL upper molar tooth! I wanted to tough it out to see if it passes but it's 2am and I'm up and miserable.

If anyone is reading this and has a clue, do you recommend I try for a walk in doctor at the clinic tomorrow or an emergency dental exam?

Thanks in advance... :(

Sinus headache and toothache..Doctor or Dentist?
I've had that kind of pain before with a sinus infection, and it did put pressure inside my mouth. That's probably why your tooth is hurting. Try the doctor first. He/she will probably give you antibiotics, make sure you say it's been a week and it's getting worse. If the tooth still hurts 3-4 days later, then see the dentist.
Reply:If I were you I would try both! It would be best for you. I really hope you get well and I am sure it will! =D
Reply:Go to the doctor. If it is the tooth, not pressure from a sinus infection, you will need antibiotics before it can be treated anyway.
Reply:I've have an abscess in the sinuses, and the infection there gave me similar symptoms. Sore face, blinding headache, toothache that killed (upper teeth), and a throbbing earache. After prescribing antibiotics the doctor recommended holding off with the dental visit, until they kicked in, because the infection could be pressing on the nerve, which made my teeth ache. He was right. With the antibiotics the infection cleared, and so did all the symptoms.
Reply:Take a painkiller called "FLEXON" ..500mg to reduce the pain.
Reply:Sounds like you have a sinus infection. Whenever I have one, and I have one now, the entire right side of my face hurts including my teeth and my ear. I've found that Tylenol sinus usually does the trick but it keeps you awake. I only go to the dr for it if I've had the infection over a week %26amp; it hasn't gotten any better.
Reply:Many times sinus infections can cause pain in upper teeth. The roots of the molars can be so close to the sinus cavity that the infection can actually cause the tooth to ache. A decongestant and possibly antibiotic may just clear up the tooth ache.
