Had a dentist appointment about 6 months ago, but didnt show. Can i go back?

Ok, this is the only place that take appointments on emergency, and I had a serious toothache, so I go in, she wouldnt pull it that day because she didnt know if it was infected, she prescribed some medicine (pills, I dont know which ones) and scheduled an appointment for another time.

While I was there, an assitant, who was also assisting in my last dentists office recognized me and asked me if I had been a patient at the other place and she didnt look happy that I was no longer there. I told this person I wasnt happy with the service there, and that I chose not to go back. (That dentist there I realy think was not only the worst dentist in the city, but also was filling teeth that needed to be pulled, and I suffered worse after she filled these teeth)

So anyway, I didnt show up for my appt. because of that woman, she made me feel so uncomfortable and as if I had done something wrong.

But I realy need to go back but am worried that she will give me a hard time again

If you like that dental office feel free to give them a call. If they ask if you had other appointments you can just apologize and say you forgot. It is not a big deal, but you really should go where you are comfortable and sooner than later. Ask your friends where they go if you feel you need to try someone else, but putting it off will only make it harder on you to just get it over with. Best of luck
Reply:I would call the office and ask if you could be seen. You could also request a different assistant. Explain to the dentist that she made you uncomfortable, sometimes there is just a personality conflict if you would feel more at ease with someone else then that is your right as a patient.
Reply:JUST CALL THEM AND FIND OUT
Reply:The best thing to do ... admit your fear ... tell them how an office staff member made you feel extremely uncomfortable and while you know that your health is important ... you realize you've made a mistake and need an appointment. (if they should ask) ... if the staff has changed your fine, they see too many patients to remember everyone. You should be okay ... but make sure they are aware of your past bad expiriences
Reply:No doc/dentist is going to turn down money. Somebody has to pay for the benz! Just call and at the most they can do is charge you for your copay for not canceling. Just make sure you tell the nurse on the phone about your "phobia" she will put this info in your chart that way when the dentist sees you he will already know what he is dealing with.
Reply:Is your tooth hurting?

Make an appointment. Don't let some rude person keep you from getting treatment. If she asks, tell her you were there before. Who cares what this person thinks! And if she does give you a hard time, report her!!
Reply:I would definately go back! Many offices charge money for no-showing. You shouldnt care what other people think and besides the dentist only gave you antibiotics so its not like they would think you just went there for the drugs because you dont get high from antibiotics. Just tell them you want a different assistant and the reason why you didnt show up and maybe they wont charge you for not going to that appt.
Reply:Is there a different dental office you could go to instead? That would take care of all your issues and possibly find you a dentist that works better for you as well.
