I would hold a washcloth on it or something until it quit bleeding and wait for your dentist to call you back. It will depend if it is his baby teeth or permanent tooth. Im thinking it will be ok. You could also give him some Tylenol for pain.
Reply:Is he bleeding a lot?

If so, he needs to go to the ER. Otherwise it should be ok to wait for a return call.
Reply:Save the tooth, put it in a baggie w/ some milk, keeping it cold, until you can get to the dentist... I've heard this helps... If it's a baby tooth, don't worry he'll get another one.
Reply:if it's a baby tooth, i wouldn't worry about it. it probably wan't ready to come out but it won't be a big deal. if it was an adult tooth i would try to get a hold of not just your dentist, but any dentist, because it needs to be set back in asap. put it in a glass of milk to keep it good (that's if it's an adult tooth)
Reply:Was it a front tooth? Normally that is the first ones to come out. Center two on lower arch. There isn't really anything to do. It probably was getting close to being loose that's why it came out so easily. He can bite down on some Kleenex that is folded up for thickness or a washcloth. It really shouldn't bleed very long. Call your dentist in the morning and see if he needs to see your son.
