Major Toothache....HELP!!!?

I've gotta MAJOR toothache. I'm going to see my dentist tomorrow for an emergency extraction but I'm not sure I'll make it. I'm not a complainer but the pain is almost unbearable. I don't want to go to the ER because it would cost way too much. I've popped a LOT of pills...Acetomenaphen, Asprin, and Ibuprofen. They help for a little while but the pain comes back even stronger. Any ideas or home remedies to help the pain at least until tomorrow morning?

I'm not joking when I say to try this...get some peppermint extract, the kind you bake with and dab a q-tip in it and apply it to your tooth...you may have to do it a few times throughout the night/day but it works!! It's cheap, a home remedy and it really does work!!
Reply:Stock up on some anbesol and/or orajel. That will numb it until you get to the dentist. You can get it almost anywhere- Target, Walgreens, WalMart, etc. It's in the same aisle as the toothpaste and brushes. Just keep reapplying when it starts bothering you. Works like a charm!!!
Reply:my daughter works in a dental office and she told me that you can always call the dentist on the phone number provided in case of an emergency. The doctor should be able to call you in a RX at one of you local pharmacies. Try some vicodine and ask for an antibiotic, which will kill the infection, which will help releave the pain that you are having.
