It may take a few days, depending on the severity of the infection and how well your body responds to the antibiotics. Take them as prescribed and take them all, even if the pain and swelling disappear.

I hope they help ya quickly, but only Time will tell.
Reply:Ouch! I'm sorry you had to go through this. Your swelling should go away within a few days %26lt;%26lt; if you keep up with your antibiotics.
Reply:I've been there with dental infection. The antibiotics should start working immediately BUT you won't notice the swelling going down for about three days. Keep taking the antibiotics until they're gone or the infection will return.
Reply:Keep taking them,Finish the course dont worry you will be fine if when you finish the course it is no better go back to dentist but that wont happen you will be fine%26gt;Good Luck.
Reply:I agree with the others, antibiotics take a few days to work and the swelling in your face is coming from swollen lymph nodes. Continue taking your antibiotics, warm compresses to your face several times a day, and if not allergic, take Motrin/Ibuprofen 200mg three times a day. This will reduce the inflammation and swelling
