What philanthropic groups offer emergency funds for dental work to the disabled poor?

Individual on Social Security disability, age 49, needs extensive dental work without adequate funds. Dentists in region will not accept payment plans for the amount of work needed. Individual now has chest pains which may be originating from needed severe dental work. Person is not on Medicaid, only receives Medicare which does not cover this work. Other medical problems evident in individual.

Contact your state dental association, listed in the yellow pages under "American Dental Association." In my state anyway, there is a charity care organization that is accessed through the state association. The patient you describe is exactly who this activity is designed to help.

If you add the state to your question, you might get a more exact response.
Reply:My sister in law went to a dental school. It was really cheap (around$10). She went a couple of times and eventually was someone's final project (Free dental work). That's how much work she needed. I think her out of pocket for roughly 30 cavities was $20.
