I live in Fl and have medicaid. Can anyone tell me how I can find a list of medicaid approved dentists in Fl.

Call your local medicaid office, or whom ever issued you medicaid. They will have a list of dentist that accepts that insurance.
Reply:Can you get one from your caseworker? Otherwise, get out the yellow pages and start calling. Also look up dental schools and call the health department.

Reply:To begin with, few dental procedures are covered by either Medicare or Medicaid. About the only Medicaid covered dental procedure would have to be one in which an Oral Surgeon was required and the procedure would have to be other than for extractions unless not doing so was deemed life threatening. First, call any dentist near you and explain the service you need and ask about coverage, you should very quickly learn if what you need is covered and that office can tell you who might provide you the service.

Reply:Medicaid does not cover most dental problems!! Any dentist can do it but many won't even fool with medicaid. Doc W
