I'm not military. I need a dentist near Chatan Town. Of course I'd be nice if the dentist can speak English.
I am American and visiting Okinawa, JP. How can I get emergency dental work while I'm here?
Actually, with you being an American, and the insurance company is most likely an American Insurance company, the approved list of providers will be American. What I would do is contact your regular Dentist, see what strings he / she can pull with referals. Either that or, depending on what is going on%26lt; go to the Emergency room. If you have an absessed tooth, it has to be taken care of before you can fly (if I remember stuff from Dental Assisting School correctly). If you have a broken tooth, and it's broken just the right way, either it would be ok long enough for you to get back to the states, OR it could develop into an absess. But to tell you the truth, without knowing more about the tooth in question, I can't really say what the best move is beyond calling your regular Dentist. I'd also get together some names of local Dentist incase your dentist wants to do a referral. that way you don't have to call him back or have him sit on hold while you look stuff up.
Reply:go back in time and purchase travel insurance
Reply:well I would start by calling your health insurance provider to see if they have anyone that can do the work with it being covered. I bet if they do that person would be ok, if they don't speak English you can probably arrange to bring along a translator.
Reply:Your gonna have to get a personal refferal to a Dentist. It's the only way to find the good ones.
